Sharper in the market

Positioning.

If you can't explain in one sentence why someone should choose you over the competition, neither can your customers. Positioning is the work of making that answer clear - and building a brand that consistently communicates it.

The process

01 - Market analysis

Who are your competitors, where do they play, and what territory is unclaimed? We map the competitive landscape before drawing conclusions about where you should position.

02 - Positioning formulation

Defining your core claim. What do you uniquely do better, for whom, and why does it matter? The positioning statement needs to be distinctive, credible, and worth defending.

03 - Translation to communication

Strategy is only useful when it becomes language. We translate the positioning into a website headline, pitch line, and key messages - immediately applicable across channels.

Positioning matrix

Visual map of the competitive landscape with your position marked. Shows where the white space is - and why your chosen position is both distinctive and defensible.

Positioning statement

Documented positioning with the strategic rationale. Serves as the decision filter for future communication, product, and hiring choices. Internal compass, external north star.

Communication starters

Website headline, elevator pitch, and LinkedIn summary derived from your positioning. Ready to use immediately - not a framework to interpret, but language to deploy.

How is positioning different from branding?
Positioning is strategic - it defines where you compete and why you win. Branding is the expressive layer - how that positioning looks, sounds, and feels. Positioning comes first; branding makes it visible.
We already have a tagline. Do we still need positioning work?
A tagline is an output of positioning, not positioning itself. If your tagline doesn't immediately clarify what makes you different and for whom, it's decoration - not strategy.
What does a positioning engagement cost?
A focused positioning engagement typically runs between €2.000 and €4.000, depending on research depth and deliverable scope. It's some of the highest-leverage work you can invest in.
How do we know the positioning will stick?
Positioning sticks when it's credible to your team and resonates with your audience. We validate both - internal alignment sessions and external signal-testing are part of the process.
