EMERCE Website of the Year 2025
Forever Tributes is an events company based in Enschede, Twente, that organises tribute performances for the world's biggest artists. The website needed to capture the energy of a live performance - while loading fast, being easy to manage, and scaling across multiple band sites.
The challenge
Building a visually heavy platform - with large videos, rich animations and a full-screen experience - without compromising on speed. At the same time, the system needed to be easy to manage: agenda items on the main site needed to automatically appear on the associated band sites.
What was built
The site was designed and built from scratch in Webflow. Above the fold, we used custom video compression and smart loading techniques to keep the hero experience intact without hurting Core Web Vitals. The video carousel was built entirely from scratch - no generic slider library, but a solution that plays videos cleanly across all devices.
A custom Make.com integration syncs agenda items from the main site to every band website automatically - in both Dutch and English. No manual updates across sites, no risk of content falling out of sync.
The result
Forevertributes.nl won the EMERCE Website of the Year 2025 in the Events category. The EMERCE jury evaluates on design, technology, usability, reliability and performance - the combination this project was built around.
